Learning About Penguins

We started our research of penguins today. We learned that they live in the Southern Hemisphere and that many live along the coast of Antarctica where it is very cold. You can see that we also learned that they huddle together to stay warm. Aren't we the cutest little penguins?

Paul Mesner Puppet Show

We went to see Miss Mary Mack and Other Rhymes today. All of the children joined in on many of the Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes and also clapped to the beat as some of the rhymes were rapped to original music. We learned that string puppets are called marionettes and that they are guided differently, by an airplane or an upright controller. There were many props and some puppets that had a rod. With more than 20 characters in the show presented, it was performed by only two puppeteers. WOW! What a show. Thanks for allowing your child to attend.
