Math Jelly Bean Graphing

On Thursday we used jelly beans to sort, count, and graph. Then we analyzed our data by illustrating two sets and writing what we noticed about those two sets. Some students told which set had more or less. Others attached numbers using the math vocabulary words same, greater than, and less than. Some even wrote addition equations, joining the sets together. We had a good time working on this activity and our work shows we are becoming more accurate with our counting and recording. Please enjoy our work.

Easter Egg Hunt

Thank you so much for sending your child to school with plastic eggs filled with treats. Even though it was cloudy, we had a great time hunting for the eggs after lunch on our early release day.

Missouri Read In Day

We celebrated Missouri Read In Day on Friday by wearing our pajamas, reading our favorite books, and sharing reading time with our friends! It was a great day filled with teachers reading aloud, student creations inspired by children's literature, and discussions of our favorite books. Please enjoy some of our writing in response to Dr. Seuss' books throughout this past week, and notice how the students were engaged in reading on Read In Day. What a great group of kindergartners your children are! Thank you so much for sending them prepared to enjoy the special day!

Miss Masters did a wonderful job inspiring our writing and designing our Gertrude McFuzz addition activity! Thanks!
